Game Development (Game Design)
Project Overview
This 2D game focuses on the story of a princess who lost her throne to an enemy envasion early in her life. She then must reclaim it.

The game features RPG mechanics such as Stats, Skills, Equipment, and an economic system. Moreover, there are three different types of classes such as mage, worrior and Ranger as well.

This project focuses on Loss and renewal as its key story concept.

There is also farming mechanics and puzzles revolving around the use of those farming mechanics.

This project was conducted in a 13 week production cycle were we utalised the Cerny Method pre-production methodology.

The gameplay is JRPG and Souls-like inspired.
My Contributions
For this co-developed project I worked on the C# code, creating the systems of gameplay and the functionality behind the game. I also did the audio and heavily contributed to the UI design for the game as well.

I also constructed the main menu for the game and the art associated with the marketing for the game. I also am responsible for creating 8 levels for the game, some of which feature bosses and puzzle mechanics. I created the entire lore and wrote all the dialogue for the game as well. I also did the animations for the game.

All assets used in this project are not my own. A base demo pack was used for the underling foundations of this game, however, significant edits were made for the game's intended goals.
Story Concept Creation and Implementation:
The story's concept was built around the destination of an imaginary castle and a farming village. From there it expanded to the concept that after the castle fell to monsters. The protagonist who was young at the time fled and grew up in a farming village. However, due to the famine that takes place in the later years of her life she is forced to find a  miracle seed. To do this she ventures into the decrepit castle's library and from there she learns about her past and the golden seed. Due to her upbringing only she is capable of retraving it as the journey is dangerous and the knowledge of farming is required to uncover the path to it.

Gameplay Implementation:
I created the C# code behind the farming mechanics in the game. Moreover, I am responsible ofr doing the gameplay balancing and overall improvements of the movement and combat system from what we had originally recieved from the demo game that we had used for the foundations of the game. One of the hardest challenges was brining together the Souls-like experience with the JRPG experience, however, I believe that a balance was struck due to my work.

I had also created the systems for the tutorial level and narrative systems as well.

Asset Finder:
The finding of the assets that would be used in the game was a co-effort between my partner and I and I during this time I was google searching for free assets to use while also testing them out in the editor to see if they fit the theme and colours that we were aiming for.

Narrative:
I had designed the narrative and implemented it into the game on my own.

UI and Main Menu
I had co-developed the designed the UI. I created the main menu for this game.
